Food & Drink
Country cooking with a twist is a speciality of the pub's 42-seater restaurant, and there's always a good choice of ales, lagers and an extensive wine list to be enjoyed.
Our two chefs, Marc Wilson and Pascal Afafsa, select the best local ingredients wherever possible and prepare everything to order.
We run Gourmet Club tasting evenings in the winter months, and the restaurant can also be hired for special occasions and meetings.
Enjoy a hot beef and horseradish sandwich made with fresh farmhouse bread, hot jacket potato or satisfying omelette. Or choose something from the main menu, such as a Braised Lamb Shank with root vegetable and mash, freshly made Fisherman's Pie, or Ribeye Steak and Thrice-Cooked Chips.

As well as our main menu, we offer lunchtime light bites and snacks, and a daily specials board. Our menu changes regularly with the seasons, so please call ahead if you are looking for a particular dish. View our sample menu:Main Menu and Lite Bites
There's a reason why the Cock Inn is at the heart of the local community. Maybe it's the warm welcome patrons receive when they step foot in the door. Or maybe it's the incredibly delicious food served from the eclectic menu and specials board. Either way, I am lucky to now have the Cock Inn as my local (not so lucky for my waistline!).

Visited The Cock Inn on a Wednesday evening where it was not too busy or too quiet. We didn't book although I am sure this is a good idea at weekends. Good friendly attentive service both at the bar and at the table. Lovely roaring open fire which added to the atmosphere of this traditional pub. We all completely finished our meals. The portions were generous and absolutely delicious. We will visit again and definitely recommend.
